About this clinic
The Kinderwunsch Institut Dr. Schenk is based in Dobl near Graz and is led by Prim. Priv. Doz. Dr. med. univ. Michael Schenk, MAS, and Claudia Schenk-Hauschka. The institute offers the full range of reproductive medicine treatment: in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), egg donation through its own egg bank, as well as frozen embryo transfer and a sperm bank. The process is clearly structured: After an initial consultation, which can also take place via telemedicine, targeted diagnostic exams follow for the woman and the man. Only once the results are available is an individual treatment plan developed together. Care does not end with the procedure: The institute looks after patients until the seventh week of pregnancy, the point at which a first heartbeat can be detected. In addition to its clinical work, the institute is actively engaged in research, including through the research project FRED, and is involved in teaching and studies. For couples who want to get informed early on, the digital FertiBot is available for initial orientation. Treatment for same-sex couples and use of the Austrian IVF Fund (IVF-Fonds) are also part of the offering. The institute was awarded the “Top-Ambulatorium” (top outpatient clinic) seal of quality by Austria’s Krone GESUND. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and additionally on Monday and Thursday afternoons by appointment.
