About this clinic
For more than two decades, Kinderwunschzentrum Dresden at Prager Straße 8a has been an established point of contact for couples and individuals from Saxony and the surrounding regions. Dr. med. Birgit Leuchten has led the practice since January 2020; it is housed in the Wöhrl-Plaza, centrally located and easy to reach. The range of treatments covers the main procedures of reproductive medicine: IVF and ICSI are included, as are PICSI, insemination (IUI), blastocyst transfer, and testicular sperm extraction (TESE) for men with severe sperm deficiency. For embryo culture, the practice uses a time-lapse incubator, which allows continuous observation without disturbing the culture environment. A ZyMot chamber for sperm selection and EmbryoGlue at transfer are also available. Since 2025, the center also offers acupuncture around the embryo transfer. On the diagnostic side, the services include the CatSper test, which checks the calcium channels of sperm, DNA fragmentation analysis, endometrial biopsy, hysteroscopy, and hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography. This allows both uterine causes such as uterine malformations or endometriosis and andrological factors such as oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT) to be specifically evaluated. For cryopreservation, the center operates its own cryobank at the same location. Elective egg freezing and medical fertility preservation round out the services. Donor treatments, including sperm donation, are also possible. Appointments can be booked online through Doctolib; video consultations and regular online information evenings are also available. The German IVF Registry (Deutsches IVF-Register, D.I.R.) presents the center as a data source for couples who want to look up nationwide treatment numbers in its yearbook.

Reviews from Google
What patients report: Patients praise the fertility clinic for its compassionate and skilled team as well as thorough care. Most patients report successful treatments and feel well looked after, with every step explained in an understandable way. An earlier review, however, points to dissatisfaction with the diagnostics.
On Google, the reviews appear in the language they were written in, usually German.
