About this clinic
Male fertility problems are often addressed late from a medical standpoint. The Uroviva andrology center at Stadelhoferstrasse 22 in Zurich has specialized in exactly this field: under the direction of Dr. med. David Zimmermann, men with infertility, testosterone deficiency, sexual disorders, and related urological complaints are diagnosed and treated. Services include the classic semen analysis as well as the CatSper test, which can reveal functional disorders of the sperm even when a standard semen analysis comes back normal. For men with severe sperm deficiency or complete azoospermia, the center offers microsurgical testicular sperm extraction (micro-TESE), in which testicular tissue is searched directly for sperm capable of fertilization. In addition, cryopreservation of sperm is possible, for example as a precaution before cancer therapy or other serious illnesses. For erectile dysfunction, the team uses Spark Wave shockwave therapy, a non-invasive treatment that is applied purely externally. Referrals from a primary care physician speed up scheduling, and direct inquiries by phone or email are also possible. The practice is open Monday through Friday and is part of the Uroviva network, which includes several urology locations in Switzerland. With 4.3 out of 5 stars from 42 Google reviews, the center is praised especially for Dr. Zimmermann’s expertise and the friendliness of the medical staff.
