FERTILA is a Munich-based company with a clear mission: People who wish for a child should be able to find the information and points of contact they need more quickly and easily. The background is concrete: According to the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs (Bundesministerium für Familie), one in ten couples between the ages of 25 and 59 is involuntarily childless, yet only one in four seeks medical help. FERTILA starts right there. The offering is divided into three areas. First, the company operates a directory of more than 160 fertility centers in Germany and elsewhere in Europe so that those affected can find the right center for their situation. Second, FERTILA provides a knowledge library with more than 100 guide articles on topics such as reproductive medicine, fertility, and pregnancy. Third, in cooperation with the private center ‘Die Kinderwunschärztin’ (Dr. med. Corinna Mann), FERTILA offers cryostorage of donor sperm. Patients who are in treatment there can have samples stored directly at FERTILA. Important to know: FERTILA itself is not a fertility center and does not carry out medical treatments.
