Fertility Center Berlin

The Fertility Center Berlin, an owner-managed medical care center (MVZ), is located on the grounds of the DRK Westend Hospital in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Its proximity to the hospital’s women’s clinic allows direct cooperation when surgical procedures are necessary: laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, fibroid removal, or endometriosis treatment can be coordinated this way without detours. The range of services includes IVF, ICSI, cryopreservation, preimplantation genetic testing procedures (PGT-A), and elective egg freezing. The lab works seven days a week, using, among other things, an embryoscope and vitrification. The center states its pregnancy rate at around 40% per transfer; according to the clinic, its own figures are well above the national average of the German IVF Registry (Deutsches IVF-Register), in which the Fertility Center Berlin has participated continuously since 1999. The center cares for heterosexual and same-sex couples, single women, transgender people, and couples who want to preserve their fertility before chemotherapy. Psychologists are a permanent part of the team, which represents a concrete offering given the emotional burden of infertility. During diagnostics and treatment, patients have a dedicated doctor as their point of contact. The medical team includes Dr. med. Andreas Tandler-Schneider, Prof. Dr. med. Heribert Kentenich, and several other specialists. The center publishes scientific articles in German and international journals and offers a free information evening every month, on the first Thursday of the month, also in an online format.
