About this clinic
Right at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, in the heart of Berlin, the fertility clinic on Rankestraße has had its established place for more than two decades. Dr. med. Silke Marr and her practice partner Dr. med. Matthias Bloechle lead the clinic together with a team of five other doctors. This size allows broad coverage of the range of services while keeping the care personal. The treatment offering includes the evaluation of female and male fertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and elective egg freezing, that is, the cryopreservation of eggs for women who want to keep their family planning open in time for personal or professional reasons. The clinic is a member of the German IVF Registry (Deutsches IVF-Register) and of the FertiProtekt network, which specializes in fertility preservation measures. A stated priority of the practice is openness to different family models. As far back as the early 1990s, same-sex couples were supported here in family planning. Single women trying to conceive are explicitly welcome, as patient voices on the website also underline. The practice is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment. Appointments can be booked online through Doctolib. On the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m., a free information evening takes place that offers a first overview of diagnosis and treatment options, with no appointment required. The website is available in German and English, which also appeals to international patients.
