About this clinic
The Hormon- und Kinderwunschzentrum (Hormone and Fertility Center) is part of LMU University Hospital Munich and is therefore embedded in one of the largest women’s hospitals in Europe. This connection provides direct access to specialists from nearly all medical disciplines, which can make a real difference in complex fertility cases. Prof. Dr. med. Nina Rogenhofer serves as interim head. The range of services includes gynecological and andrological fertility treatment, the diagnosis and therapy of hormone disorders, care for recurrent miscarriage, and fertility preservation, both for medical reasons and as part of so-called elective egg freezing. For the andrological side, Prof. Dr. med. Frank-Michael Köhn has recently joined as an additional team member; an appointment can be booked by phone at +49 89 4400-34670. The center can be reached at two locations: at Klinikum Großhadern at Marchioninistraße 15 and at Klinikum Innenstadt at Ziemssenstraße 5. Both locations share the same phone number for scheduling appointments. The center is also currently taking part in a research project on the influence of the microbiome and metabolome on fertility. Patient feedback describes very positive experiences with individual doctors such as Dr. Bralo and their ability to explain complex diagnoses in an understandable way, as well as critical feedback about wait times and changing points of contact. Anyone planning an appointment should allow for lead time accordingly.
