About this clinic

Dr. Andreas Jantke and Dr. Anna Stegelmann run their fertility clinic in southwest Berlin, at the health site “eins” (“everything for health”) in Zehlendorf, right next to the Oskar-Helene-Heim U-Bahn station. The clinic serves couples, lesbian couples, and single women who want to have a child. The range of treatment includes insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and cryopreservation. For embryo development, the lab uses an EmbryoScope, a time-lapse incubation system that allows continuous observation of embryos without disturbing the incubator. Cryopreservation uses the vitrification method, which is offered both as part of elective egg freezing and for medically necessary fertility preservation, for example before cancer treatment. The practice is a member of Fertiprotekt, the German network for fertility preservation measures. Besides the two lead doctors, the team consists of biologists, medical technical assistants, and medical assistants. For questions beyond reproductive medicine, the practice cooperates with urologists, human geneticists, psychologists, nutrition counselors, and sex therapists. The practice is open Monday to Thursday until 7:00 p.m., which makes it easier for working people to schedule appointments outside of regular core hours. There are 120 underground garage parking spaces on the grounds. The website is also available in English, Russian, Turkish, Hebrew, and Arabic, which reflects the practice’s international patient base.

What patients report: Opinions are divided: while three 5-star reviews praise the professional and compassionate team, especially Dr. Stegelmann, and report success, two reviews criticize questionable counseling practices and a focus on profit. Patients value the individual care and quick results, but the negative voices raise questions about medical integrity.
