About this clinic
In the heart of Upper Carinthia, directly within the complex of the Spittal an der Drau hospital, Dr. Martin Kaimbacher built the first private reproductive medicine institute in this region. The institute covers the entire range of reproductive medicine permitted by law in Austria, from the basic workup through surgical procedures to sperm donation and egg donation as well as preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A). For diagnostics, the institute relies on standardized semen analysis according to WHO 2010 criteria. For patients with a greatly reduced ovarian reserve, egg donation is available as a treatment option. Good-quality embryos that are not transferred directly during IVF treatment can be stored by cryopreservation in liquid nitrogen. The range of services is complemented by surgical evaluation through laparoscopy and, since the 2015 amendment to the Austrian Reproductive Medicine Act (Fortpflanzungsmedizingesetz), by preimplantation genetic testing under the conditions provided by law. Lesbian couples are also explicitly cared for: Pregnancy through sperm donation has been possible in Austria since the change in the law and is offered here. In reviews, patients report specifically on successful IVF treatments following endometriosis surgery performed by Dr. Kaimbacher himself, as well as on an egg retrieval with cryopreservation in a patient with existing endometriosis. The institute has barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible facilities. Appointments are made by telephone arrangement. In addition to Dr. Kaimbacher, the team consists of Dr. Denise Sarah Milo and several other staff members.
