Kinderwunschzentrum Münster

Since 1990, the Kinderwunschzentrum Münster fertility center has been the only specialty practice for fertility treatment in the city licensed under Germany’s statutory health insurance system, which offers a decisive practical advantage: Billing through statutory health insurance funds, private health insurance, and Beihilfe (the German state benefit that helps cover civil servants’ medical costs) is possible directly through the center, without the detour through external cooperation partners. All forms of reproductive medicine care are provided, from simple cycle monitoring to intrauterine insemination (IUI) and on to IVF and ICSI. Elective egg freezing, sperm donation, and psychological counseling are also part of the range of services. The center expressly welcomes heterosexual couples as well as women in same-sex partnerships and single women. Video consultations complement the offering for initial consultations and follow-up conversations. Professionally, the center is listed in the German IVF Registry (Deutsches IVF-Register, D.I.R.), in the FertiPROTEKT network, in the Federal Association of Reproductive Medicine Centers (Bundesverband Reproduktionsmedizinischer Zentren), and in the German Insemination Registry (Deutsches Register für Insemination, DERI). According to the center, regular external quality audits are part of its practice structure. The medical team consists exclusively of women doctors, including Prof. Dr. Caroline Niehoff. Patient feedback highlights above all the structured processes, short wait times, and communication described as open and understandable. Anyone who wants to get informed for the first time can attend one of the regularly held information evenings, which are offered on site at the center and require registration.
