About this clinic
At the University Hospital Zurich, the PCOS center specializes in caring for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), one of the most common hormonal disorders in the reproductive years. The university setting enables care that goes well beyond a standard consultation: because PCOS rarely occurs in isolation and is often accompanied by metabolic disorders, thyroid disease, or psychological burdens, specialists from different disciplines work closely together. An individually tailored treatment pathway is developed for each patient, aligning diagnostics and therapy with their particular combination of symptoms. The range runs from endocrinological evaluation to reproductive medicine support, for example when infertility is the main concern. Psychological counseling is also part of the offering, since the distress caused by PCOS is often considerable and emotional support is part of treatment. The center is located at Frauenklinikstrasse 10 in Zurich and is therefore embedded directly in the USZ infrastructure. Referring doctors can find dedicated information and ways to make contact through the USZ specialty department.
