Opened in 2018, the Wunschbaby Institut Feichtinger Niederösterreich in Baden is the Lower Austrian branch of one of Austria’s best-known reproductive medicine institutes. The institute is led by Dr. Alena Pichler, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, who runs the facility in close professional exchange with the partner institute in Vienna under Priv.-Doz. DDr. Michael Feichtinger. The team also includes Dr. Lucia Will, several affiliated physicians, and its own embryology department with Christine Börger, MSc, as lab director. The range of services covers the entire treatment path: from a free orientation consultation (currently bookable as a 15-minute Zoom session) and a comprehensive evaluation of the causes in both partners, genetic diagnostics, ovarian stimulation, and ultrasound monitoring during stimulation, all the way to egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo transfer. The institute is qualified for the Austrian IVF Fund (IVF-Fonds), which means that eligible treatment cycles can receive a financial subsidy.
